4th of July
We are excited to announce the return of our traditional 4th of July celebration, co-sponsored by the Montecito Community Foundation, featuring the "Biggest Little Parade" down San Ysidro Rd ending in a grand picnic in the park!
Your 4th of July Committee - spearheaded by board member, Mindy Denson - has been hard at work, making sure this is the best Village 4th celebration yet!
Start your 4th of July off at the Montecito Fire Department for their annual pancake breakfast! They will be serving pancakes from 7am to 11am.
After eating your pancakes, get your bikes, scooters or vehicles ready for the parade...or scout out a spot to watch the parade along San Ysidro Rd. (between Upper Manning Park and Montecito Union School)
The parade kicks off at 11:30 AM and will include walkers, riders, animals, and vehicles, all decked out in festive 4th of July decorations. The parade ends at Lower Manning Park where participants and spectators will gather for an afternoon filled with food, live music, pie-eating contests, games, and more!
Enter the parade or become a sponsor! (see below)
We will be judging the parade entries on the following categories:
1) Most Patriotic 2) Most Entertaining 3) Best Community Spirit
Who will win first place for those categories?! You?! Come watch the parade and find out! We have some fabulous prizes for the winners!
The $25 parade entry fee for the 4th of July parade includes the following details:
- Participation Rights: The fee allows individuals, groups, or organizations to participate in the parade, giving them the opportunity to showcase their floats, costumes, vehicles, or performances.
- Event Costs: The fee helps cover the costs associated with organizing the parade, including permits, security, clean-up, and other logistical needs to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all participants and spectators.
- Entry Number and Placement: Participants will receive an entry number and be assigned a position in the parade lineup. This ensures a smooth flow of the parade and helps organizers manage the event efficiently.
- Benefits and Exposure: Participating in the parade provides visibility and exposure for businesses, community groups, and individuals. It’s an opportunity to engage with the community, celebrate the holiday, and promote their message or cause.
Participants are encouraged to bring their creativity and enthusiasm to the Village 4th parade, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved!
