Montecito Fire Protection District Proposed Station 3

FIRE STATION PROPOSED TO BETTER SERVE EASTERN MONTECITO
Draft Environmental Impact Report is now available for review:  http://www.montecitofire.com/Station_3_Development.htm The Montecito Fire Protection District (MFPD) has been working for the last several years to site, design, entitle and build a fire station in the eastern portion of Montecito in an effort to provide improved response times and service.  The District has worked with a local property owner and secured an option to purchase a portion of Rancho San Carlos/Petan property in the 2500 block of East Valley Road.  Design of the proposed station is currently under way.  The District's Draft Environmental Impact Report for the project is now available at the link above.  Upon completion of the report, the District will apply to the County of Santa Barbara for the necessary zoning approvals.

The Montecito Association’s Land Use Committee has reviewed preliminary architectural and site plans and provided input to the District.  The Association will continue to monitor and comment on the project as it moves forward.
